The article “Post-COVID-19 behavior change in purchase of air tickets” has been published in “Annals of Tourism Research” (impact index: 5.9). The authors are Santiago Melián-González and me.
The main result of our research is that even after the return to normality, more than one third of the travelers who fly on their holidays will change their behavior when buying tickets. 28% say they will buy their tickets closer to the date of the flight, 5% will avoid using the plane and 4% will buy earlier for economic reasons.
We also prepared a video explaining the article and its main conclussions. It is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXyvbA__f9g.
